Mendoza Plaza Shopping Created in 1992, he was first shopping that had the province. It is located in the district of Villa Nueva, head of the Guaymallén department, one arranges to 10 minutes of trip from downtown and of about 25 Airport “Francisco Gabrielli” of Mendoza. Zoológico / Cerro de la Gloria / Estadio Mundialista "Malvinas Argentinas" ZOOLÓGICO: (Zoological) Devised in 1903, by the paisajista Carlos Thays, it has a population of 1,100 animals of different types.  It was located originally in center of the city, more for reasons of space and new conceptions, was transferred to the present estate, located within the General San Martin Park. Has 6.000 meters of extension and route, which intermingle the local landscape with a wonderful vista of the city. "Zoológico de Mendoza" logo CERRO DE LA GLORIA: It was inaugurated in 1914 and it is a tribute to the Father of the Country, General Don Jose de San Martin and his Ejercito Libertador (that also accompanies it in the monument). This work that outside located in the hill that once outside known like “El Pilar”, has been remodelated, in works that included the asphalt paving of streets and recovered recently complete of he himself. At the moment it shines brilliant and immaculate, offering a right tribute to first of the Argentineans. Photo: MacAllenBrothers WORLD CUP STADIUM "MALVINAS ARGENTINAS": Located within the environs of the General San Martin Park and “neighbor” of the Cerro de la Gloria, it was created in 1978 for the worldcup championship of that year, that outside celebrated in Argentina and it had to Mendoza like one of its seats. It had the pride of being also chosen like seat of the WorldCup Sub-20 (U-20) of soccer that outside played in 2001. At the moment the Club Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba (who plays in the First Division of Argentine Soccer), uses it to play matches and in the summer cups, when the official matches stop, it is used for different activities, being but important the soccer cups of summer, that are made between clubs of prestige of the First division of national argentine soccer. Plaza Independencia The Plaza Independencia is the central "plaza" of the city and with its 400 square meters, it is had equidistant way to four "plazas" more (Plaza San Martin, Plaza Chile, Plaza Italy and Plaza España). It was projected after the 1861 earthquake that destroyed the city. It is the seat but great of the province and in its interior are the Museo de Arte Moderno (Museum of Modern Art) and the Teatro Quintanilla (Theater Quintanilla). Parque Central The Parque Central (Central Park) is a present and modern work, that has made the Municipality of the City of Mendoza, in lands that knew to belong to the railroads. Left and mistreated, the Municipality of Capital recovered them and located a Park there (which was had in mind during long time, but never it had taken shape) It revalued the zone and it gave the possibility of creating air for a place that it has like prevailing house, the buildings. It has a source with different varieties from ducks and fish multicolors, which have been become accustomed the presence of the visitor.
